Actividad 9: ¿Invisible o pequeñito?

En esta actividad los estudiantes observan y toman consciencia de la cantidad de microorganismos que se encuentran en el ambiente y cómo el hombre es un transportador extraordinario de los mismos. Para ello se utiliza pintura luminiscente (hidrosoluble y no toxica) que, a simple vista es transparente pero que cuando se ilumina con luz UV, emite fluorescencia. Esta pintura representa los microorganismos que se ubican en la zona que el alumnado ha elegido pintarse, en este caso, la mano, y conforme van tocando otros elementos, bolígrafos, ropa, cara, mesas, etc., el alumnado va a identificar cómo se van “pasando” esos microorganismos.

In this activity, students observe and get conscious about the amount of microorganisms we are surrounded by, as well as how men are an extraordinary transporter of them. In this activity, students use luminescent (water-soluble and non-toxic) paint that at first sight is transparent but when illuminated with UV light, it emits fluorescence light. This luminescent paint represents the microorganisms that students have in the area that they have chosen to paint, in this case the hand, and as they touch other elements, pens, clothes, face, tables, etc … students see how microorganisms are «moving”.
